Mountain I Walked

A few years ago I felt an urge,
An urge to feel the wind above
The Earth and taste the sky
On my lips and tongue forever.

I had a calling to see the wind
Kiss my body in all seekful feeling,
For my thoughts seeked the wind
And all the winds called my name.

The ages seemed to pass for rocks
And the skies changeful ways,
But I remained immortal walking
On endless slopes for thinking.
